An author, advocate, and changemaker, Monica S. Flores is principal at 10K Webdesign, where she is passionate about educating, empowering, and connecting women of color.

Her company specializes in building Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress and CMS websites for membership organizations, green businesses, online communities, and nonprofits.

Flores's current focus is on creating websites that build community and foster a feeling of connectedness. She supports women entrepreneurs and fair trade, organic, holistic, sustainable, and green businesses.

Flores is the author of the A Successful Woman's Handbook series, which includes Fifty-one Ways to Build your Community of Clients Online and Social Networking for Women in Business. She contributes articles to WomenonBusiness.com and her own blog.

She has worked for over fifteen years to create infrastructure, tools, and connections for passionate and progressive individuals. In 1999, she was an original team member for The Odyssey World Trek for Service and Education, one of the first global multimedia educational websites, where she visited over 30 countries on five continents to educate youth. She is a founding board member for APA for Progress, the first internet-based advocacy group for Asian Americans. An active social networker, she offers regular talks on the World Wide Web and community-building.
